Meet the dedicated professionals behind the scenes at Federation & JCC
Originally from Boston, Dan began his career in lobbying roles for the South African Jewish community, initially serving as the Head of Media and Public Affairs for the South African Jewish Board of Deputies, and subsequently as Executive Director of the South Africa-Israel Forum. Most recently, he was the co-founder and CEO of En-novate, a successful corporate educational travel company that took over 1,000 South African entrepreneurs and business leaders to ten of the world’s most innovative countries, including Israel.
Director of Corporate Services & Book Keeping
Louise manages the accounting and administrative staff, as well as prepares the financial statements for the board. She is also our HR director and our in-house tech support. She completed her Social Work Degree at the University of Windsor and her Accounting Certificate at St Clair College. She has been working in the financial/bookkeeping field now for over 20 years.
Director of Programming & Senior Services
Richie is a native of Windsor and has been with the organization since 2016. He attended the University of Ottawa, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Arts and Education. Some of his annual programming priorities include the Windsor Jewish Film Festival, Grade 8 Student Forum for Social Justice and the Yom HaShoah Holocaust Commemoration Ceremony.
Accounts Receivable/ Accounts Payable
Fola is a transplant from Guelph to Nigeria, then Gatineau and Ottawa, before finally settling in Windsor. While in Ottawa, she attended Algonquin College, where she obtained a Business Computer Diploma. She graduated from the University of Windsor in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and worked for several years for the City of Detroit. As a lifelong learner, she graduated from St. Clair College in 2000 with a certificate in accounting. In her spare time, she coordinates mental health workshops, assists newcomers, and is furthering her knowledge of mental health and addictions at Cambrian College.
The WJCC is excited to introduce our newest team member, Rabbi Mike Nasielski. Rabbi Mike is originally from Sydney and was the first Australian to receive Rabbinic Ordination from Yeshivat Chovevei Torah in New York. In his new role at the WJCC, Rabbi Mike will be facilitating Jewish educational and cultural programming for all ages, providing pastoral care, as well as promoting interfaith work with the broader community.
Building and Office Administrator
Michelle grew up in the Jewish Community of Omaha, Nebraska. From theatre, to dance, to swim team, and BBYO, the Omaha JCC (or the J as she calls it) was her second childhood home. Her journey took her to the University of Kansas for her Bachelor’s, and then on to live and work in the Caribbean in Hospitality for nearly seven years. She met her husband, a Windsor native, while living abroad, and has been residing happily in Canada since 2011.
Joe is a native of Windsor, works on planning and managing of events, parties, and classes, while also assisting seniors living in the I.L. Peretz House. He obtained a degree in Law and Society from York University in Toronto. After university, he lived in Israel for five months, where he completed an internship at The Federation of Local Authorities in Israel.
